What to Wear

Finally, the warmer and sunnier weather is gracing us more often in the Philadelphia area. This inspires more people to go outside and do fun things. Even better, it gives Fashionistas the go-ahead to have a field day with fun outfits.

I spotted this Fashionista on a fairly warm, sunny morning and knew that her outfit would be appropriate for a nice brunch. She sports all black, which ties the long winter we’ve been having over into spring. WIth her ballet flats and short sleeved Ann Taylor wrap dress, she looks ready for warmer weather.

This dress is versatile for various weather conditions and various looks. A similar Ann Taylor dress can be found here. If you’d like to wear this look but want to add florals for spring, this alternative dress by French Connection would work as well. It’s hard to go wrong with a good dress as long as you accessorize well. This Fashionista wears a simple pair of black tights to match her black dress. It’s a good idea to wear tights on a day that may be chilly or breezy. You could also add a cardigan for extra warmth in the morning.

This Fashionista wears a pair of black buckled flats, which are also versatile and would be a good staple in any wardrobe. A similar flat by Adrienne Vittadini can be found here. Finally, I loved this Fashionista’s dangle rhinestone earrings. Wearing earrings can make a big difference when it comes to framing your face and dressing up your outfit. A similar pair of earrings can be found here.

Dressing for brunch does not have to be complicated. All you need is a nice dress and some great accessories to dress it up. It’s not hard to add a cardigan or jacket for extra comfort, and you could wear this ensemble all day.

One Simple Change: In order to change this outfit from day to night, you could switch out the flats for a pair of wedges and add a sassy jacket.
