WHAT TO WEAR: Bring Some Hamptons Back to Campus

September 23rd, 2016 at 2:00am

It’s that time of year again where we trade our mocktails over ice for some pumpkin spice. Back to school means tons of new fall outfits and looks but it doesn’t have to mean investing in a whole new wardrobe. Your favorite summer pieces can be transitioned into amazing fall outfits that are perfect for going to class or just enjoying what your campus has to offer.

Deciding what to wear during this time of the year in particular is a little confusing—it feels like 100 degrees outside but once you step into a lecture hall, you’re basically ready to pull out a parka.

This Fashionista channeled her inner Kardashian style, straight from one of their infamous summer vacays, with this look. When the Kardashian “klan” takes on the Hamptons, they bring out their best laid-back looks. This vibe is perfect for back to campus because you can slay but still be as comfy and casual as possible.

Here, classic denim shorts are paired with a black bodysuit and a gray cardigan. Sounds simple enough right? But there’s so much more to it! The bodysuit has a plunging neckline that’s not too risqué and the gray cardigan is the cherry on top for the ideal campus outfit. You can keep it off when you’re outside and pop it on as soon as you get to class. This Fashionista chose fringe detailed sandals with a closed back to have some extra support while walking or even on a bus. She is also rocking a variety of bracelets and rings as arm candy and if you look closely you’ll see that she has some hair ties among these—definitely a necessity in case of a beauty emergency. To complete the look, she put on some sunnies just before heading out of the door.

Back to school means tons of work and a lot of stress, so the last thing you need to worry about is what to wear. Dressing up your “dress downs,” or even vice versa, is as easy as adding some accessories or throwing on a cardigan. At the end of the day, all that matters is how comfortable and confident you feel.
