WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

Welcome back to campus, Fashionistas! With the new school year starting up again, it’s time to pack away the swimsuits and sunscreen and instead bring out our backpacks and baseball caps. But just because it’s back to school season, that doesn’t mean you have to walk around campus without looking chic. It’s easy to manage both style and comfort when facing the hike from class to class every day.

Unfortunately for us Ohioans, it is becoming that time of year where it is too cool in the mornings and too hot by mid-afternoon with the sun shining down on us. So when dressing for the day it’s important to find the right outfit that fits both kinds of weather. Our backpacks are packed with piles of textbook, notebooks, and hopefully enough pens and pencils—so there’s no room for extra clothes to change into during the day, what a hassle.

I will always believe in how important it is to find a great pair of jeans, whether they be distressed, dark washed, low-rise, skinny—you name it; and this Fashionista here knows how to keep it light and simple, the perfect combination for this time of year. She pairs a light wash distressed denim jean with an effortless white blouse to make sure she is not too hot or not too cold throughout the day.  Adding on some chestnut brown sandals, a few gold bracelets, and a pair of gold-rimmed sunglasses keeps the outfit cute and functional for the school day. Let’s not forget too that this Fashionista’s top-knot bun makes for an easy go-to hairstyle when rushing in the morning to get ready for class. Overall, this look is effortless.

So up and at em, Fashionistas! Start the school year off strong by studying hard but more importantly, by looking absolutely chic while doing so.
