WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

With summer coming to a close, fall is finally here and school is in session! I personally love this time of the year because you can start to experiment with layers again as the weather cools down. Usually three layers look best and they include a base layer, your normal shirt and then an over piece. Since it is still early in the season, it may be hard to decide to dress for a cool or warm day. This Fashionista exhibited a great combination of both lighter fabrics and an open-toed shoe along with jeans and a cardigan to defend against the breeze. She chose a sheer, beaded orange tank top, which went with the orange design in the top layer. If your top is sheer you can add a solid cami or bandeau top underneath. You want to make sure your layers all complement one another and it looks awesome when you mix up textures like she did with the fringe on a solid material. I would suggest mixing fabric types and colors. Earth tones are perfect for this time of year. The different aspects of the outfit will keep you looking dynamic.

This look is perfect for school because it allowed her to express herself in many ways. She kept her hair and makeup simple since her outfit had a lot going on. The pastel colors insinuate that she is happy and approachable to the new friends she may meet in class. The wedges and jeans combination creates a chic and casual ensemble. Every Fashionista loves to look classy and just adding a fancy shoe to a simple outfit can change it from drab to fab quickly.

One Simple Change: You can really wear this kind of thing any day of the week, anywhere you choose to go! You can take this day wear to night just by simply removing the cardigan. Now we have a flattering tank top with enough bead detailing to stand alone. The shoes keep you looking fresh and ready for whatever the night throws at you. Add an  Alex and Ani bracelet to the look and maybe even a Rebecca Minkoff satchel to make this a unique piece. You can abide by this trend whether you are going to a fancy dinner or just to a girl’s night on the town.
