WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

Yes, unfortunately, it’s that time of the year again. Those hot summer days are starting to drift away (at least here on the East Coast), and in with the cold is also the start of school. If you’re anything like me the start of school is stressful, exciting and a time to show off all those new clothes you got over the summer. However, if you’re really anything like me, you have a hard time deciding what to wear those first days of classes. You are making such a large impression and you want to wear the right thing so you feel like there’s tons of pressure. If you take from advice from this Fashionista, though, you’ll be set!

The key for first day outfits is simplicity. Unless you want to make the biggest splash, by all means wear whatever makes you happy. This Fashionista ,though, has kept it simple, but also super stylish with details and the cut of the dress. First, dresses are perfect to wear for back to school because there are still major heat waves hitting and you don’t want to be covered in sweat. There are also many ways you can accessorize a dress leaving you with infinite options to make your outfit stand out. The best part about this dress, though, is the era it seems to come from. This dress screams ‘40s housewife, so instead of it being a modern dress, people will take note of the vintage vibe you are giving off. This dress is also very flattering with the detailed button back to give it more dimension and the pinstripe skirt to give the effect of longer legs. She also adds a pop of color with her kate spade purse and keeps it comfortable with tan Sperry Top-Siders. This Fashionista has learned how to look stylish for back to school, while also keeping comfortable. Not only in fit of the dress, but in being able to have confidence while walking down those halls again for the first time.

One Simple Change: Throw on some floral print heels and this dress is ready to go out on a date. Since this dress is so flattering, by adding something to make it a little fancier, it becomes the perfect outfit to woo anyone in.
