Imagine waking up to a bright sun on a hot summer day. You don’t have to go to class, it’s your day off from work and you need to improve your tan. What better way to spend such a magnificent day than by going to the beach?
This Fashionista had the right idea when I ran into her after I got off work. I couldn’t help but notice her floppy sunhat as I was walking towards the beach. She was wearing a loose black and white dress over her bathing suit, black sunhat, aviator glasses, nude sandals and a large black tote. She kept cool and comfortable at the beach without sacrificing style. She looks put together and ready to tackle anything no matter where she’s going. The wide brimmed sunhat keeps her face shaded and prevents her head from overheating. It protects her scalp, face, shoulders and exposed torso from the harmful UV rays. Plus, it adds extra shade for her eyes. The large black tote is large enough to carry all her essentials like a sunblock, beach towel and a book without making it obvious that she is going to the beach. This is a very easily transitional outfit. The nude sandals keep the attention to the black and white color scheme.
So, head down to the beach to soak up some Vitamin D, but don’t forget the sunblock!
One Simple Change: This outfit is very versatile and can be worn pretty much anywhere during the summer whether it be out with friends or running errands. A simple change to brighten the outfit is to add color into one of the accessories. Rather than nude sandals, add a fun, colored sandal or wedge to add that pop of color. If not, keep the sandals nude, black or white and add a brightly colored sunhat. If you’re feeling funky, change both for brighter colors. Remember to have fun with it!
