WHAT TO WEAR: A Touch Of Fall

Fall is my favorite season with warm colors and scents creeping into day-to-day life. Every year I cling to any excuse to make a trip up north to experience the leaves changing. Temperatures are cooling down here in Orlando, Florida but it’s just not quite sweater weather yet. In fact, most people are still wearing crop tops, shorts and sandals. I daydream of ways to incorporate knee-high socks, an oversized cardigan or a pair of patterned hosiery into my wardrobe. Unfortunately, I’ll probably only get a couple weeks out of the year to do that.

On the bright side, Floridians can find other ways to express fall fashion in this heat. This Fashionista embraces the heat while still screaming fall. I instantly fell in love with her haltered culotte jumpsuit. I have to admit that at first I was hesitant to jump on the culottes trend; I kept on having horrid flashbacks to my adolescent years of wearing gaucho pants. I’m glad I finally gave them a chance because they are comfortable, breezy and stylish.

The accessories are really what complete the ensemble. I always love a good floppy hat and the maroon tone definitely sets the fall mood. Ankle boots pair extremely well with culottes and these leather pointed ankle boots from Zara are the icing on the cake.

If you’re mutually longing for fall trends in a warmer climate, just remember to accessorize. Whether it’s a lightweight scarf, dark lipstick, ankle boot or hat, I guarantee it’ll put you in an autumn mood!
