WHAT TO WEAR: A Summer to Fall Transition

Happy fall, ya’ll! With the change in seasons comes a change in wardrobe. The air gets crisp, the leaves get crunchy and everyone starts rocking their fall attire.

This Fashionista went for a cool outfit that is still prepared for the cool air. It is just the right time of year to still sport a summer dress, so she decided to throw on an army green utility jacket to cover her arms from the brisk air. The dusty pink dress is still flirty like the summer but a perfect style for entering the fall season.

The accessories complement the entire outfit perfectly, and the pink color is kept in mind throughout the entire ensemble. With a gold, jeweled statement necklace, gold bracelets and some gold earrings, the outfit truly shines.

The jacket is the Fashionista’s focal point of the outfit. Every Fashionista/o needs a utility jacket like this one in their fall wardrobe. They are perfect for throwing over a graphic tee andin this case, putting over a dress to bring the fall aura to the outfit. Although the jacket has silver hardware, it does not clash with the gold in the outfit.

The sandals are a playful twist. The black is a good contrast to the outfit and adds some depth. The design of the sandal kind of ties into the striping of the dress.

All together, this outfit is perfect for the person who wants to keep summer in mind in the midst of the pumpkin spice season. Let’s reflect on my number one must-have for this fall: a utility jacket. You can truly find them anywhere and are a staple item for the cool air that is right around the corner. Let’s not forgot that the olive/army green color is such a fall color and flatters every skin tone.

It’s still a great time to keep those dresses in the front of your closet! Throw on a pair of riding boots and knee-high socks and you are ready to rock it through the crunchy leaves. If you need to warm the outfit up a little bit, tights are a great addition to any dress. Don’t be afraid to play around with your dresses in the fall time.
