WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

When you think of fall, you think of booties, flannels and sweater weather. Unfortunately, Boulder, Colorado hasn’t quite figured out the concept of fall since it’s still high 70s here. This makes it hard to pick an outfit that is fit for fall fashion yet also for summer temperatures.

Walking to class for your early morning class is hard enough, but when the temperature is below 50, it makes it even harder. This Fashionista’s long sleeve shirt is perfect for those early fall morning classes because of its long sleeves. Its thin fabric also makes it’s easy to put a lightweight jacket over while outside to keep warm. While the long sleeves keep you warm in the morning, the light fabric also keeps you cool while walking back and forth through campus when the sun comes out and it warms up.

Walking throughout campus can also be a pain when you’re not in the right shoes. I’ve been told that “a girl can conquer the world, in the right shoes.” The right shoes can be hard to find because being on our feet all day makes it hard to be stylish while your feet are aching, especially with fall booties. This Fashionista balanced comfort and style perfectly. These wrap-around booties are perfect for walking around campus because of their low but stylish heel along with having the above-the-ankle support of a combat boot.

With a fairly neutral outfit, there’s the perfect opportunity for some pops of color. This Rebecca Minkoff bag is the ultimate accessory. It’s the perfect size and weight, and it comes in an abundance of colors to match any Fashionista’s style! While it may still be in the neutral colors, its light beige and its gold studs add a pop of light and attention to the outfit. Another touch of color that this Fashionista added was her pink lipstick! She chose a color that was bright without being obnoxious, which is hard to find and I salute her for this. The lip color also adds some vibrancy to her neutral, but stylish, outfit!

One Simple Change: When the weather gets cooler, add a long cable knit sweater to this look to keep you warm and fashionable throughout the day! This also makes a great casual date night outfit.
