As any student knows, Happy Valley has some very bi-polar weather, especially in the fall. With one day being sunny and hot and another being cold and cloudy, it’s a lot of juggling between shorts and pants, T-shirts and cardigans, or sandals and boots. While we experience the between times of seasons, we’re also forced to experience the between times of summer and fall clothing. Instead of going crazy flip-flopping between wardrobes, focus on getting key pieces that work for both seasons.
Take this Fashionista for example. While the day may have been dreary, her outfit was anything but that. Rocking a popular trend from last year, this Fashionista walks around downtown in her boyfriend capri pants. Boyfriend jeans are perfect for lazy, casual days and can even be dressed-up for a night out. Another great aspect of boyfriend jeans is that they hide imperfections, especially for those bloated days.
Even though her top may lean more towards summer, she channels the popular knit trend for the coming fall season. Finding a knit sweater, or for that matter, knit anything, is another key piece to have for the progression from summer to fall. While knit is airy, it still keeps you warm and it’s flattering, regardless of the sleeve length.
