Unfortunately, like a lot of cities, it has been raining non-stop in Toronto. Busy with school and running between raindrops, I felt as if I was never going to be able to find someone to shoot this week. Luckily, amidst the constant rain showers, I found this Fashionista decked out in camel and shades of pink, floral pants reminiscent of warm summer days. It’s always a relief knowing that there are well-dressed individuals out there, rain or shine.
This week’s Fashionista is wearing a basic top with printed high-waist pants and several camel pieces to match. High-waist shorts were a major trend in the summer but just because the weather has dropped doesn’t mean we have to give up our high-waist bottoms. Since the bottoms are heavily printed, this Fashionista opted for a basic top (and nail polish!) that has the same pink hues found in the floral print of the pants. While the outfit could have easily been bottom heavy, this Fashionista framed the pink pieces with several shades of camel. Camel is a great neutral color as it's yellow undertones bring warmth to an outfit. The absolute best part of this outfit is the fact that this Fashionista is literally styled head to toe. From necklace to booties, all the tones in each piece correspond with another in the outfit, creating a well put together look. Even the black socks paired with her camel booties match the black trim of her camel purse!
To get this look, match a basic top to a pair of high-waist pants. If printed pants are a little too much for you, opt for a pair of jeans or trousers. Next, pair corresponding jewelry, purse and booties to the outfit. Booties are great because they come in all different colors and styles. To dress up the look, pick one with a slight heel. Finally, finish the look off with an outer piece. One of my favorite colors for fall fashion is camel. There’s just something about this rich color that instantly dresses up an outfit effortlessly, making anything camel colored a great addition to your wardrobe. This Fashionista is wearing a lighter camel blazer. Another option would be going for a thicker coat as winter is soon approaching. Hopefully, the weather will lighten up next week; after all this rain, I hope there’s shine.
