ACCESSORIES REPORT: I’ve Got The Blues

Accessories Report

There are some days when your casual outfit is just not cutting it. Stuck in a clothing slump, you sit there wishing you had that extra umph to upgrade your wardrobe. Sometimes all you need is to add a simple touch of jewelry to take your outfit up a notch.

This Fashionista decided to stay within a blue and white color scheme to accentuate her jean shirt and top. By mismatching two thin chain bracelets from H&M and a thick white cuff from bebe, she gives her look a more polished feel. This strategic placement is sullen enough not to be too matchy, but perfect for someone fabulous to take notice.

Here are some other tips on how to get the most out of your bracelets. First, less is more when it comes to jewelry this season. Excessive friendship bracelets with elbow-high stacking is (thankfully) long gone. There is nothing worse than that obnoxious sound of clanking whenever someone moves their arm due to overdoing it. Instead, opt for no more than four or five bracelets per arm and combine materials to spice things up. If you find yourself wearing a long sleeve top, but still want to show your wrists some love, place your bracelets on the outside of the sleeve, so they can cinch and remain in place. Or try rolling up your sleeves slightly, just below the wrist bone to create a peek-a-boo effect like this Fashionista. Regardless, whichever way you decide to rock your wrist wear, remember to always do it in style.

Spotted: While Fenton showcases shades of blue in his jewelry line, Emilio Pucci proves that white and gold is the perfect combination.
