The Rise Of The Half-Trend

October 31st, 2016 at 2:00am

If you are anything like me, you have commitment issues. (No, I’m not talking about relationships/about to air my dirty laundry for the whole Internet to dissect.) I have serious fashion commitment phobia. With so many trends overtaking the runways, my social media feed and even the sidewalk, I get overwhelmed deciding which trends to embrace and which to leave brokenhearted.

Luckily, it seems like the recent shift in fashion totally embraces my personality. From crop tops to mock turtlenecks, there has been a rise in the half-trend. The “halfie” (as I so endearingly call it) allows you to wear a look without fully committing to it. Aren’t sure how you feel about a top knot? Rock a half-knot instead. Can’t decide if you want to wear jeans or shorts? Cropped flares are your no-decision needed BFF.

Don’t feel like you have to commit to anything this fall (I mean, besides those standard college student responsibilities and showering, of course). Check out why the halfie is a fashion movement I, as well as the CollegeFashionista community, whole loves.
