Hi Fashionistas/os!
My name is Tere Cortes and I am a senior student in the University of Texas-Pan American at Edinburg, Texas. I am majoring in Marketing with two minors in Computer Graphics and French. I was born in Texas, but I was raised in a northern part of Mexico called Rio Bravo. Although I live far away from the main fashion cities of the USA, I have never felt like it. I am always reading blogs, news and reports from around the world about what is happening in the fashion business.
I don’t remember when I started to be interested in fashion but during my freshmen year of college I started to pay more attention to my personal style and what other people wear. I have also always been interested how culture affects the way people dress. Last year, I had the opportunity to study abroad in France and travel to some other countries from Europe. Studying abroad gave me the experience of living in a new culture and helped me to be inspired by their amazing sense of style. Now when I look at one Fashionista/o, I just can’t help but stare!
My personal style depends on the mood that I am in every day (or the music that I am listening to while getting dressed). During the day I usually like to wear a lot of colorful, fun and girly clothes. At night, I wear more edgy/dark outfits with statement accessories.
Overall I am a very happy person who laughs all the time and likes to work hard in order to get what she wants. The most important things in my life are my family and friends and I am thankful for having their support all the time.
