Don’t let your wardrobe diminish during finals week. There are plenty of ways to keep your look casual and fashionable while you cram away for those end of semester tests and papers. Layering is an excellent technique many Fashionistas use to stay warm, look stylish and remain comfortable for the long hours at the library.
This Fashionista keeps her look simple with a navy blue military jacket layered over a flowery patterned top. Military jackets are great because they differ from the winter parkas and fleece you see all over campus. Military jackets are also comfortable and have fashionable twists like the tie-able belt on this Fashionista's. Additionally, this Fashionista defies the winter colors by wearing a floral top. Floral print is trendy, but Fashionistas can’t go wrong by owning a few tops donned with the pattern. Make sure to find a loose-fitted top with a floral pattern of your choice and then if it’s nice enough out, leave your military jacket open to show off the patterned layer underneath like this Fashionista did in the photograph.
I also recommend having a pair of light wash jeans on hand during the end of the semester. They are casual but always more stylish than the female-favored yoga pants. Plus if you throw on a pair of light wash skinny jeans you can tuck them into your leather boots, which leads me to my next necessity for winter. Leather boots are a must-have and when I say must, I mean it. They can be worn with literally almost everything and make any winter outfit look so much more chic than UGGs.
Finally, throw on a colored infinity scarf that complements your floral pattern. This will pull the entire outfit together without being too matchy-matchy. The scarf and the shirt should go well together when replicating an outfit like this Fashionista's, so be sure to find one that brings out the pattern in the shirt you wear underneath. Finals can be stressful, but with an outfit like this, at least you know acing good street style will be the least of your worries.
