Happy first of March Fashionistas/os! March is packed with exciting events for everyone. Be sure to mark your calendars for March Madness, St. Patrick’s Day, Day Light Savings, the spring equinox, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and last but certainly not least, spring break! With a month of excitement on the horizon, who wants to spend any time worrying about the perfect ensemble? Allow me to catch you up on the hottest accessory trend all Fashionistas/os should try! But before introducing you to my beloved Fashionista of the week, I have a confession to make.
Through the ups and downs of the falling leaves, frost bitten mornings and winter blizzards, I have remained faithful in a long-term relationship with my North Face vest, but something new and attractive has caught my eye. Never leave one you love for one you like, but the future of this trend is bright, and I’m unable control my infidelity. Break-ups are never easy, but it’s time to give your North Face the boot and make room for something new and exciting in your wardrobe.
This week’s Fashionista dons the latest trend; Levi’s vest. She confessed she’s also in a new relationship with this accessory, but ensures it’s going steady. Levi’s became a hit last summer with high-waist cutoffs, but now denim is conquering new territory. Levi’s vests are the perfect transitioning piece that symbolizes versatility. The low-maintenance capabilities of a jean vest add flare to any outfit without thinking twice. Pair this trendy vest with a warmer spring top as you whisk off to class or a simple tee during vacation; day to night, a jean vest is tailored to fit any need.
Only a few short weeks, yet a few long midterms away, spring break will be here before you know it. College students across the nation will be relaxing in warmer temperatures without a care in the world. Reflect your cool attitude by layering snug, faded denim over feminine looks for an edgy update.
Spotted: Favored by the likes of Ruby Aldridge, Liu Wen and McCollough and Hernandez, the denim staple is making a bid to replace the leather bomber as the model-off-duty topper of choice.
