This Summer, Jump(suits) for Florals

This summer means jumpsuits…

Jumpsuits; easy to wear and flawless always. While dresses are always a go-to for the summer, rompers and jumpsuits have re-entered the fashion game, and it seems like they’re here to stay. What makes jumpsuits so lovable is that it’s one piece, one look. All you have to do is slip it on and you’re set for the day. The jumpsuits to look out for are the ones that can go from day to night with a quick change of shoes and makeup. This is great for anyone with a busy schedule this summer. Going from work to the bar has never been easier. When getting dressed, there’s no more fuss or decision making. I just reach in my closet for my favorite romper and heels and I’ll feel confident day or night!

I’m an avid lover of accessories. I paired this jumpsuit with my new favorite sunglasses from Free People. The pointed black sunglasses add a nice contrast to the otherwise light, flowy outfit. For jewelry, I chose rings I found throughout various vintage stores. I purchased one of these rings at a vintage store in downtown New Orleans and the others at little stands in Spain. Always keep a look out abroad for functional and fashionable memorabilia. To keep with the laid-back colors, I brought out my purse from H&M and short gray suede heels from Forever 21. Short heels add class while still being easy to walk around in all day.

Jumpsuits are becoming my new go-to’s this summer. They can be worn casually or fancied up. This flowy floral pattern works for a brunch or walking to the grocery store. Additionally, it works for a night out on the town while still looking chic and appropriate. Versatile items in a closet are key to always looking put together and fashionable this summer. Living as a college student, I’ve tried (keyword “tried”) to keep my spending on clothing to items that are adaptable to multiple seasons. This means they can be worn throughout summer/spring and layered for fall/winter. I can’t wait to try layering a loose knit sweater and some booties with this jumper when it starts getting chilly out! For now, I’m happy with this timeless look.
