My name is Donna Castelblanco and I’m so excited to be apart of CollegeFashionista! Originally from New Jersey, I attend Misericordia University in Pennsylvania. I’m a Medical Science major double minoring in Psychology and Ethics. Besides my passion for medicine, global health and relating disciplines, I am inspired daily by fashion trendsetters online and on campus.
Currently, my personal style is a mixture of florals and darker tones, especially shades of grey, blue and green. Rarely do I go out without a scarf — silk, cotton or my favorite pashminas! And animal-friendly clothing is a must, such as faux leather and pearls! Although I love wearing dresses, you can find me shopping in the men’s section adding to my extensive sweater collection. In high school, I was a fashion rebel; for my senior prom I wore a vintage '50s prom dress from a small NYC boutique.
Fashion bloggers are my greatest fashion inspiration, namely Wendy, Andy and Rebecca. Besides their daily posts, I read articles from CollegeFashionista, College Fashion and Refinery 29. My favorite designers are Alexander McQueen, Jason Wu and Marc Jacobs.
Although I don’t intend on pursuing a fashion career, I love the imagination and creativity that the fashion world offers. This is my first fashion internship and I’m super excited to learn, share and inspire the beauty of fashion. Remember to check out my ALL ABOUT BEAUTY weekly reports this summer for hair and makeup inspirations!
