It was a regular sunny day on campus when I saw this Fashionista wearing an embossed white floral top, hot pink high-waist silky shorts and vintage bangles in torquoise and black. From a weekend preparing for the upcoming dreadful week of finals for Lasallians, students tend to slack off in the fashion zone; but with this Fashionista, she pulls off a fashionable look with just a floral piece matched up with an exciting pink color.
Did you know a study about the color pink suggests that male weightlifters seem to lose strength when surrounded by pink in a room, while women weightlifters tend to become stronger around the color. So girls, do you agree with me? Also, way back then pink was the color of men, but these days it is used to express femininity. This outfit reminds me of the amazingly beauiful color of the pink blossom in Japan. In her outfit, the color pink is toned down by the purity of white — these colors always make the perfect pairing.
To get this kind of look, first avoid wearing dark colors or make sure to inject some personality in your look by adding some bright colors. This Fashionista added a hot pink bottom to a plain white color providing a sense excitement to her look. Second, floral is always accompanied by a feminine feeling so tone down the floral pattern and add a bit of masculitnity. This Fashionista wore a pair of shorts to add some edge to her look. Last but not the least is the minimal use of extras like accesories and footwear; this Fashionista used her grey sandals and used a minimal amount of accesories.
For women who want to still look fashionable inspite of a pile of work, the addition of pink and floral will give you your desire of the inner Fashionista in you!
