Style Advice of the Week

We are finally hearing Christmas bells in the air and with the end of the quarter comes finals and cold weather. While I am normally the type to curl up with some hot cocoa and marshmallows and my favorite Real Housewives wearing everything baggy and comfy, I was lucky enough to come across this Fashionista to spur a newfound love for the holiday season’s best fashions.

This Fashionista seemed to be going somewhere in a hurry and I was glad to catch her in a moment of quiet. Her jacket is the perfect mix of warmth as well as comfort and fashionability. While I have seen many puffy jackets, I found new appreciation for this one. It highlighted her figure while keeping her nice and warm on a very drizzly and brisk day. I suggest one like this from Urban Outfitters. Another great option is one with a belt to accentuate your waistline under all of that down lining.

I also cannot help but endorse a great basic pair of dark tights for this season; you can dress them up or down and keep nice and warm during the holidays. They are a great way to add personality to a basic outfit. Try a patterned pair of sweater ones, too. There are so many options. And while I am not normally one to brave the cold in a dress, I love this Fashionista’s dress — especially the color. The color has been seen all over the runway this season and it is a great pick for a year round effortless fashion statement in a cool hue. Pair it with a great pair of boots and voile, a perfect ensemble for that holiday party or a walk around candy cane lane!
