Patterned tights are a must-have for this time of year. Tights can give those summer outfits a longer life span, as well as provide you with a bit of extra warmth for those frosty November mornings. For starters, common retailers like Nordstrom, Old Navy and American Eagle offer different variations of printed pairs.
Although a necessity, tights are often not much of a focus when putting together an outfit. As much as I love the ease of throwing on a pair of leggings, an oversized sweater and riding boots for an effortless outfit, it's refreshing to see someone add a bit more polished femininity to their on campus look. As I was walking to class, this Fashionista caught my eye in her all black outfit, aside from her grey polka-doted tights. Confession, I have a love for all things polka-dot. But aside from that, the miniscule dot detailing on her tights poking out from underneath a black peacoat certainly caught my attention.
Her light blue tote makes a bold statement against her outfit’s black and gray color scheme, adding an exciting pop of color. Altogether, her look is fun with a hint of girlish charm. So Fashionistas, as we hit the books to start preparing for the end of the semester, my style advice is to tighten up both your grades and your outfits. Do so by swapping those go-to leggings with a pair of tights with a pleasing print. Whether it’s a skirt or dress, there are endless options to incorporate tights into your fall wardrobe. It’s a simple and cute way to take a summer mini skirt or that dress you wore to your sister’s graduation last spring, and wear it to class. Shift focus to the end of the semester while you shift your focus with your wardrobe by having a pair of patterned tights as your new outfit essential.
