Style Advice of the Week

Down here in the South cowboy boots are known as a staple in every guy and gals closet. From tall to short, pointy to square, everyone has a pair.  Whether you’re accessorizing with summer cut offs or preparing yourself for the cool winter nights, you can never go wrong. Seeing as the Stockyards, filled with good country music and barbeque, are just around the corner from TCU’s campus they’ll be broken-in in no time.

This week’s Fashionista is a Fort Worth native who caught my eye with her country chic getup. She kept her look low-key with a neutral color palette. Her draped cream colored dress keeps things light and fresh on a hot summer day, but the deep brown accessories balance things out while making a statement of their own. This Fashionista’s chunky beaded necklace entwined with ribbon also adds to her southern belle ensemble. Even though I spotted her running daily errands, she could easily take this look out for a night out in Cowtown.

Once football season rolls around, the stands will be filled with fans and students decked out in their Saturday’s best. These occasions are also silent showdowns for those who show up in their best Western footwear. But, If you’re not ready to go full on country, investing in a pair of fashion cowgirl boots could be a good start. However you choose, once you pull on a pair, there’s no doubt that you’ll be among the best of the best in Texas.
