A large part of the St Andrews student body hail from outside Scotland and the return home south represents an escape from the snow that has disabled the UK for most of November. For those students not protesting against a university education now as costly as Prince William and Kate’s April wedding, the thawing snow provides the opportunity to do the festive shopping in style. And although today's Fashionista might not be a great role-model for the new age of austerity into which we students now enter, her casual urban-chilled outfit, whilst pricey, will work well in amongst London’s Christmas-crazed shoppers.
The outfit is a cool, casual and classy example of campus fashion that can be easily transposed into a busier, urban and less insular enviornment. It could just as easily be worn on the way to a history lecture as on Kensington High Street.
