Style Advice of the Week

Fuzzy sweaters have swarmed into all our favorite stores and itchy or not, we all want one. Or two. Yes, a similar frock to the one this Fashionista sports sits atop my holiday wish list, and, if my wish is granted, I’ll take note from this Fashionista when assembling my ensemble.

The cropped version of this style suggests we break out our high-waist pieces, and she followed suit by opting for dark denim skinnies. If you don’t already have a pair of these pivotal-to-your-wardrobe pants, check out Cheap Monday, Madewell and Wood Wood.

Given my infatuation with this Fashionista’s much-desired pullover, I had to ask where she got it.  When she pointed to a vintage shop about a block away, I took note to return. But just because she thrifted her fabulous find doesn’t mean you have to.  Forever 21’s plush, cream version makes me think of next season’s snow, Vince’s sheer with dropped shoulder sleeves is a muted metallic and Magaschoni’s is for those of you that prefer cable knit and a little less fluff.

Pick up a pair of shearling trim ankle boots like this Fashionista’s so your feet will stay warm in fall’s brisk temperatures, and grab a gray purse that’ll go with just about anything.  Get your kicks from Lotus or BC Footwear and stay on trend by swinging a suede fringe JJ Winters bag.

This Fashionista from Syracuse University reminds us that our shorter sweater will stay useful during warmer months with low risers, while this University of Michigan student sticks to a high-waist skirt.
