STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Mode Creation Munich

I spotted this this week's Fashionisto sitting on the train listening to some music and looking super relaxed. I noticed his style suited him a lot, a blend of street fashion with smarter touches that puts comfort first.

The two-tone cable knit jumper over a light wash denim shirt and grey chunky framed glasses says smart, but oversizing the jumper and choosing grey drop crotch sweats with a pair of classic Jordan III's introduces the street – very comfortable choices.

It's when I noticed what he had sitting next to him that I quickly assembled my camera and wobbled across the train carriage to greet him. His MCM Cognac backpack – a part of the Visetos collection and absolutely beautiful in person. The backpack's styling is definitely dependent on personal tastes, its gold and silver studs and monogram print is a little conspicuous for me personally but the craftsmanship behind the bag is top notch. It works because the rest of the Fashionisto's outfit is so simple and muted – the bag's personality is amplified ten fold.

The Cognac coloured leather is flawless, it also comes in red, blue, cream and a garish green that is so wrong it's right. Many celebrities including Justin Beiber (ha!) have been spotted sporting their MCM backpacks, and it's incredibly popular among Korean pop stars – a lot of my Hong Kong international friends have some of the more unique designs like this Angel Visetos bag in their wardrobes.

If you're looking for some stand out luxury luggage try replacing the refined LV monogram with some MCM madness definitely a blend of brash, bold and beautiful, but not for the feint hearted.
