Though there's holiday cheer amongst us with Halloween just around the corner to kick off the 2012 merry season, things in Miami are still relatively warm. People are seen pairing sleeveless shirts with shorts and sandals. Some are even still showing off their tanning skills at the beach. However, there's a way to incorporate fall styles into a summer wardrobe, as seen on the Fashionista this week. She opted for a maxi dress without sleeves to show off her flirty and summery side, but she chose a length that was long and would keep her warm if the temperature were to drop.
This fall feel free to wear one of these yourself, even if you live in a cooler location. You can find some great maxis at Ruche and Piperlime in different colors and styles. Being that you will be wearing this for fall, however, you should probably opt for a dress that has a darker color palette and/or print. If the weather drops, simply pair these with a cropped jacket and scarf combo to warm up. You can also wear a maxi with a sweater and cinch it at the waist with a vintage belt to give it that trendy feel. In both occasions, you can wear a simple boot to tie the look together.
Another great option would be to find a maxi that has sleeves, even if it has alternating lengths, like those seen at SheInside. These maxis can be worn with a scarf and hat to accessorize and make it more appropriate for fall weather. Despite the style, length or color, this season maxis are a definite do. They can fit nearly any body type well and they're extremely comfortable to wear all day long. Don’t be scared to break the norm and wear something that’s usually seen throughout spring and summer. So bring out your summer maxis for one more round of fashion fun and show the world how innovative you can be.
