Style Advice of the Week

Camouflage print for guys is similar to animal print for girls. Healthy in moderation. If you go overboard with the camouflage you may end up blending in with the foliage on campus, which would just be weird.

The key to adding the right amount of camouflage is moderation—one or two pieces at a time. Take a hint from this Fashionisto who was spotted wearing the extremely popular Nike SB Stefan Janoski Iguana sneaker. This sneaker was released this September and it practically sold out everywhere (I wish anyone who tries to find a pair online good luck). Prior to stopping this Fashionisto I had not even noticed that his sneakers were camouflage print, which I guess is the point of camouflage in the first place.

I also like the mix of print between the camouflage printed sneakers and his purple stripped long sleeved shirt. It creates a nice contrast in color as well and both pieces look nice against his black jeans. I love mixing crazy prints together but sometimes not having your multiple prints stacked one on top of the other can create a cleaner daytime look.

Achieving this Fashionisto’s look is simple. Adding a bit of camouflage into your wardrobe does not have to be an all out battle. I have spotted multiple guys on campus sporting either a Red Sox or Yankees camouflage fitted hat. Going to a school that connects to rivaling states gets interesting during the World Series and Super Bowl. Since the Nike kicks are sold out practically everywhere, try this Vans version of the camouflage skate shoe.
