Style Advice of the Week

There are so many fantastic prints out there these days that picking one can often be overwhelming. To narrow down your selection a bit, I suggest trying something with a geometric pattern like this week’s Fashionista did.

Striking geometric patterns are definitely my newest obsession when it comes to prints. While I love a good floral, geometrics usually come in much bolder and brighter hues. The hard edges of the shapes also give your look less of that soft, girly feel you get from florals.

This Fashionista is definitely pulling off her geometrics flawlessly. I love the shape of her flouncy, high-waisted skirt and the colors really make it pop. She also chose the perfect blouse to pair it with, opting for a neutral that picks up some of the undertones from her skirt.

If you’re looking for a geometric skirt of your own, there are great options at every price point. Take this Aztec Printed Mini from ASOS for example. The pattern is totally eye-catching and I love the ruffled-layer detail. This skirt from Forever 21 is a total steal and a must have if you’re unsure about how to integrate prints into your wardrobe.

If you’re willing to spend a little more though and bright colors aren’t exactly your thing, this Free People skirt is a fabulous option. It’s a bit more sophisticated than the options I mentioned early but that’s what I love so much about it. It’s classic and sleek, perfect for a night out.

Make sure to pair your printed skirt with something simple and sleek like this week's Fashionista did. It will keep your outfit from looking too busy and will make sure all of the attention is on your fabulous skirt.
