STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Cozy In Color Block

Style Advice of the Week

As I continue on my sweater kick this season, I am attempting to find as many new trends and variances in knit tops as possible. This week’s Fashionista caught my eye in her color blocked sweater. There is something about a color blocked sweater that really makes a statement even more than a T-shirt or dress. A thick knit pullover in fun colors is an easy way to add some flair to your cozy winter wardrobe. Layered over simple black leggings and finished off with brown leather riding boots and a simple satchel, this outfit is another great example of cozy chic and makes for an easy and relaxed weekend outfit.

The easiest way to try this trend out for yourself is with a more basic two-tone sweater such as this cashmere pullover by Vince. The gray and yellow combination will pair perfectly with your most comfortable black leggings, like our Fashionista, or with a brightly colored pair of denim or cords. If you are looking for a neutral option, try this gray and navy sweater instead that is less bold in tone but still trendy in style.

For those who want to try something bright, add a little bit of neon with this Free People pullover that combines a bright summer trend with a favorite winter clothing item. For an even bolder look, try this J.Crew textured color block sweater that combines three colors, cashmere and waffle knit all into one item. Take advantage of this simple and still comfortable way to add color and trends to your wardrobe and keep warm while staying fashion-forward this winter.
