In the midst of a crowd of students dressed in dark or neutral colors for fall, this Fashionista stuck out like a sore thumb in a good way. Her light sky blue pair of jeans was the star of the outfit. Her look was a fresh breath of brightness and color, much needed during a time when most are sporting brown boots, black leggings and heavy jackets. She even added more color with a pair of purple floral wayfarers. Along with her edgy dip-dyed hair, Bob Dylan shirt and Converse shoes, she looked as if she were on her way to a music festival.
Taking note from this Fashionista, there's nothing wrong with wearing color during the chillier season. Not all of your spring/summer clothes of color, bright designs and lightweight fabric need to be stored away. It’s all about balancing and incorporating the seasons appropriately. Taking note from her styling, team a colorful item with a neutral colored piece, along with a fall item such as a cardigan for layering and warmth.
Break the rules and add some vibrant flair to your fall ensemble. It’ll also give you more freedom to mix and match, make the most of all the items in the closet and incorporate your unique style just as this Fashionista did. Take a peek at my top picks for the week to recreate this look.
