The button-down shirt is a classic look that can be styled so many ways. I personally love this Fashionista’s funky spin. I think the denim button-down shirt is cute and casual, without being sloppy. I really like how she styled it with a fun and graphic sweater to give her outfit some visual appeal. The leggings and knee-high boots did a great job of keeping the outfit in the classic range and anchored the bottom of the outfit in a simple but stylish way, so as to allow the top of the outfit to stand out. To complete the look, the Fashionista clad her arm with a ton of silver bangles, which are both cute and significant. I love jewelry that has meaning behind it, and I think this Fashionista knocked it out of the park with these bracelets.
The classic white button-down shirt is a great staple for any wardrobe. It can be styled casually with jeans and riding boots or dressed up for an interview or internship with a great pencil skirt and some pumps. If you don’t already own one I would definitely recommend purchasing one. James Perse makes some really great ones that I would highly recommend.
If you already own a white shirt, you may be ready to take this look to the next level. In comes the patterned button-down, a favorite of mine. These shirts are great because they are structured and mature, but have graphic prints, which make them fun and exciting. They are a classic blend of two styles. Try styling this leopard print J.Crew button-down with a cute blazer and some dark skinny jeans for a fun and sophisticated look. You could even invest in a denim button-down like this Fashionista did. If you're really daring you could try rocking the Canadian Tuxedo.
Whatever approach you choose to take, your look will have a stylish and classic spin to it thanks to the button-down shirt.
