Summertime in Florida is filled with trips to the beach, going in the pool, boat rides and theme park trips. Yeah, I know I am lucky. But it’s not all sunshine and flowers, there are a few things I give up in order to have all that fun, the worst one, is that my hair goes crazy. Filled with salt, chlorine and affected by that Florida humidity, let’s just say it is not a pretty site. But, I have found a solution. Headwraps. They make my hair look good on those days when nothing else will work and they can make a simple summer outfit, like a tank top and jean shorts, look ten times cuter.
The Fendi resort 2014 collection styled headwraps with many of their looks. The collection in general was full of prints, including zigzags, zebra stripes and their signature interlocking ”F” pattern. The headwraps were no exception. In this look, they styled with a geometric, braided headwrap. While the outfit had the same print and was intricate in itself, the headwrap still was the first thing I looked at in the outfit.
Since I was wearing a simple black tank top and high-waisted destroyed denim Levi Brand Jeans shorts, the violet and green flower print on my Urban Outfitters headwrap really stood out. I also wore black and gold snakeskin printed loafers, a gold cross necklace and cream pyramid earrings to add in different textures like the ones showcased in the Fendi resort collection.
Even though I paired my printed headwrap with a simple outfit, the Fendi resort 2014 collection shows how you can wear a printed headwrap with other prints throughout your outfit and still make it look fabulous. Or, maybe their model was just having a bad hair day like me, who knows?
