The Emilio Pucci fall 2015 ready-to-wear line was Peter Dundas’ last collection for the brand and it was extremely sexy and bold. Brilliant colors splashed the runway and gave a good balance to the overall show that also consisted of monotoned, black and white looks. The outfits in the collection were either floor-length or were the opposite and displayed a lot of leg. Dundas mainly drew inspiration from his personal life and astrology for his last show.
While there were several reds that caught my eye, I was drawn the most to this look and the shade of deep red. Darker reds are my favorite colors and they look amazing in the summer with tan skin. The maxi dress I chose is great for this season because it’s loose enough to move around in and the slit gives extra room for your legs. Maxi dresses are effortlessly stylish and are my go-to choice for when I don’t have time to put together an outfit or just want something easy. Look for maxis that have cinched waistlines that will hug your figure so your body won’t look complete straight!
I paired my dress with a gold torque necklace with a marble stone pendant. This necklace is currently one of my favorite accessories. I love the combination of marble stone and gold and the necklace is such a unique, yet subtle, statement piece. The round shape of it fits the scoop neck of the dress so the two go really well together. Remember to wear necklaces that are appropriate for your neckline for a more put together look. Lastly, I wore my gold Maya sandals by Ipanema. I love these sandals for summer and they are perfect for travelling! I took these with me when I went to New Zealand and they were so comfortable and easy to clean. The large pyramid studs add a touch of edgy glam to the look and peek out from underneath.
Find a maxi dress you can easily throw on, add a statement necklace and some cute sandals and you have a completely summer appropriate outfit in a matter of seconds! Try a deep red shade like I did or look through the Emilio Pucci collection and find a beautiful color you like. This look is all about summer tones!
