STYLE GURU STYLE: Wo(mens)wear

I know I’m not the only one who’s excited about it being spring. It’s time for fabulous vacations, laughing with friends and shedding the thick layers of clothing that are associated with winter.

Even though the seasons are changing, it’s still a bit chilly here in Belgium. I always make sure to grab a thin jacket, even on the sunnier days, just because you never know when clouds, wind or rain will make an appearance. I love changing up my outfits with outerwear because it can add a little detail to the simplest of looks. For this reason, I was extremely drawn to rag & bone’s fall 2016 menswear collection, which features a plethora of jackets and sweaters perfect for this transitional weather.

This line places a large emphasis on comfort but still exudes undeniable confidence and coolness. Unique cuts and strong structures make basic pieces like hoodies look refined. My favorite piece was a dark green bomber jacket with black accents on the neck and wrists. Bomber jackets have been all over the runway, but this one stuck out to me because of its tweed-like fabric.

I’m wearing a faux-suede bomber similar to the ones from rag & bone’s collection. It took me forever to find the perfect one but I chose mine because of its soft texture and longer length. It is also relatively thin which makes it easy to throw on over a T-shirt like I did. I’m also wearing a pair of black leggings and these ones have a wide waist band which prevents digging and makes them a lot more comfortable. I finished this look with my adidas superstars that look great with anything and a simple initial necklace to add a touch of femininity.

Get My Look: 1. Suedette jacket. 2. adidas Superstars. 3. Black leggings. 4. Oversized T-shirt. 3. Dainty jewelry.
