STYLE GURU STYLE: Winter Pastels

Everyone always seems to break out all their pastel colored clothing pieces out when the weather starts to warm up, but what about for the cooler months? After looking at Emilia WIckstead’s fall 2015 line, I was completely inspired to wear my pastel pieces during the cooler months. I mean, if there is any more of an excuse for me to wear pastels I am all for it. Wickstead’s show mainly show cased models dressed head to toe in pastels, but I took the over all idea of wearing pastels in the winter as inspiration for my outfit.

Today I am making one of my summer tanks a little more weather appropriate by pairing it with a cozy printed sweater. Light pink, gray and white are one of my favorite color combinations and pairing these colors with a silver necklace just pulls everything together. As for bottoms I kept things fairly simple with some dark wash skinny jeans and cuffing them at the bottom to show off my gray cutout booties. Do not get me wrong, I do enjoy my all-black ensemble for the wintertime, but sometimes I just need to thrown on a colorful outfit that will give me hope that warmer and sunnier days are near. Fashion is all about breaking rules right? So get rid of your winter blues by brightening up your wardrobe with some pastels this season!
