Sometimes the best summer looks are the simplest. For this particular look I got inspiration from the BLK DNM spring 2016 collection, which really shows that simplicity can pack a punch. The collection features a lot of simple outfits and essential pieces that can all go together and mixed up to create a huge wardrobe with only a few pieces. Obviously most of the looks had denim elements, ranging from a great pair of jeans to a full denim ensemble. Several of the looks involved a simple white shirt or a structured top paired with their killer jeans, as well as minimal to no accessories.
For my look I picked my “holey” grail jeans that I distressed myself last summer and have gotten so much use of since. Even though the BLK DNM collection didn’t have many distressed jeans I prefer the distressed look, so to adapt it to my personal style I chose this style of denim. To combine the theme of white or structured tops I chose my structured and white top. This shirt makes the look more sophisticated than just a white T-shirt and jeans.
The accessories of the collection are very minimal if there were any at all. I wear the same necklace and simple rings most days, so I thought they fit well with outfit. To throw in a little more of my personal style and keeping things trendy I wore some brown lace-up sandals and a fun vintage backpack to complete my adaption of the collection.
