STYLE GURU STYLE: White on White

Time has come for summer vacations and the ability to take a break from that thing that we like to call school. Exploring new things that we don’t usually get to learn in the class room. Although many tend to go towards vacationing and traveling to luxurious islands and beaches during the summer I did the opposite. However, no matter what the destination is, packing a killer outfit to wear each day is still a struggle in itself. If you want to be like me when you travel, just pack your whole closet and maybe it will be less of a struggle to find an outfit than it is to fit it all in your suitcase. Often times I end up not wearing half of what I pack and re-wearing the other half, creating outfits that I never usually would put together. The luxurious location I ended up traveling to was the one and only New York City where inspiration of street style and recreating runway looks is an everyday thing. Traveling to a destination where there are approximately 8.5 million individuals, putting together outfits was a little intimidating.

This look of mine was inspired by Chloé’s spring 2015 collection that consisted of all white looks with lace and gladiator sandals. From all-white long-sleeve shift dresses to floor length maxis and flowy spaghetti strap dresses, this collection overflowed with inspiration. Taking the idea of an all white look to a more casual feel I simply opted for white high-waisted jeans and a ribbed white tank top knotted at the side. Keeping my look as fab as I could, I added a pair of Birkenstock-inspired sandals (I have not found the right pair of gladiator sandals yet). I tried to go for the minimalistic look that I think Chloé’s spring 2015 collection had by adding stackable gold and silver rings and a layerable necklace, and to keep the boho vibe I let my light pink fringe purse tag along.

Get My Look: 1. Distressed high-waisted jeans. 2. Ribbed tank top. 3. Birkenstock-inspired sandals. 4. Fringe purse.
