STYLE GURU STYLE: White All The Way

The Resort 2016 runway show had just ended. Even it is still off-season right now, the designers didn’t disappoint us. One European brand, Balenciaga, founded by Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga caught my eyes. Famous for its leather purse designs, the clothing presented on the runway were bold and exquisite as well. White, black, navy and other cold colors became the theme colors of this set of design. Having Alexander Wang as its leading designer, Balenciaga infused modern stereo designs with traditional Spanish clothing features.

One look that inspired me was the pearl white jumpsuit with a deep V-neck and wide-leg designs. The fluency of the jumpsuit is credited to its smooth cloth material. The two giant pockets on two sides visually elongate the model’s height. The model was also wearing gold bracelets in branches shape on both arms. The art of symmetry in clothing is well represented in this outfit.

Since it’s summer time, I decided to add some summer elements into my inspired outfit. The white romper from Lovely Day Fashion has a completely different texture than the jumpsuit. Its folded lines and texture helps define body curves. The floral lace designs by the end of top add a sense of preppy. Since I am not very tall, a romper works better with my body length ration than a jumpsuit. For shoes, I chose a pair of wedge sandals from ALDO to add to the yellow and brown color. The multiple straps design is a heat this summer. Even though the heel height is four and a half inches, the platform makes them comfortable and wearable for a long time. Although silver does not make a strong comparison with white outfits as gold does, it still shines in its own way. The ballet dress necklace from Folli Follie creates a sense of cuteness. My favorite of this outfit is the word bracelet given by one friend of mine. Its unique bead choice makes this the one bracelet that no one else could own.

When you feel inspired by a runway show, adding some personal touch is always a good idea to claim this “your style.” The look in Balenciaga has little accessories and focuses mainly on the jumpsuit. I added jewelry and a hat to balance the look and made it wearable during school time.

Get My Look: 1. A white romper. 2. Platform sandals with multiple straps. 3. A straw hat.
