STYLE GURU STYLE: Twisted Tunics

Is it a tank? Is it a dress? Hey there Fashionistas, if your September is still a little warm, then sunny tunics like mine are perfect outfit makers. watching the Calvin Klein pre-fall 2015 runway show I saw these sweater like tank dresses that I fell in love with. I added this into my own style with a more boho look.

This is one of my favorite outfits. The one I’m wearing here at the Loyola student beach, features an indie pattern on the front and is soft and loose. These breezy tank dress tunics are a perfect item for class on this campus, whether it’s warm or cold. Tunics are super comfy and versatile from a swim suit coverup for the lake to a night out outfit and everywhere in-between. I love versatility. You can pair it with a  black leather jacket and heels and go out. I also love pairing this tunic with my maroon Vans and long boarding to class.

I also have paired with this a long gold scarab necklace. I love this necklace because it goes with so much with its gold and silver color mix. Scarabs are said to bring good luck as well as being a really interesting talking piece! These little guys add some unique flare to your outfit. I also wore a gold bangle to go along with this necklace.

Lastly I decided on a pair of simple neutral American Eagle Outfitters sandals. These are white and brown leather, making them a go-to for just about any outfit. Being in Chicago, I’m usually planning on walking a lot, so a flat sandal is my go-to shoe. All of these outfits’ pieces are so versatile loose and fun. If I’m on Loyola’s lake shore campus and planning a beach day, or going to class or even out for the night, I love this outfit.

Get My Look: 1. Tunic. 2. Scarab necklace. 3. Sandals.
