STYLE GURU STYLE: Too Cute Two-Piece

All-white everything! For this look, I was inspired by the Maticevski Resort 2016 line by Toni Maticevski. I loved his New Look-shaped dresses and skirts. One of my favorite designers is Christian Dior, specifically because of the New Look. I love how it appreciates and celebrates the beauty of the female body, so the Maticevski line really inspired me for that reason. Also, the simple blacks and whites reminded me very much of the classiness of Chanel, which is another reason I was inspired by this line. My favorite piece, though, is a matching patterned two-piece skirt and top, so I decided to make that look my own.

I wanted to keep the look somewhat similar with the white, but instead of the pattern, I chose this stunning solid white two piece from Hope’s with lace, pearls and paisley detail at the bottom of the skirt and the top. My style has some Southern sass, so when I combined that with a classy midi skater skirt, this quickly became my new favorite outfit. Each of the two pieces are both stunning together and paired with other items. Because I love statement pieces, I went with a head-turning gold layered necklace from Hope’s, one of my favorite pieces to top off a look. I added to that a pair of caged cognac wedged heels to elongate my body (since the midi skirt could potentially shorten it) and some oversized oval sunglasses from Target, and I suddenly had the perfect look for a sunset dinner. I topped it off with a simple, solid white floppy hat to accommodate the heat and to give my look an extra dose of class. To add a pop of color, I included my kate spade royal blue scalloped clutch that also complemented the scallops in my outfit.

Get My Look: 1. A plain white two-piece. 2. A medallion bib statement necklace. 3. Caged wedges. 4. A white floppy hat. 5. kate spade scalloped clutch.
