STYLE GURU STYLE: The Story of Lola

After battling a few global warming issues, it’s safe to say that winter has arrived and is here to stay for a while. With that being said, I think we can all agree that the best time of the year for fashion is officially here as well. The colder seasons tend to give us Fashionistas/os so much more room to be creative and original in our wardrobes.
Although we left 2015 behind us I couldn’t say my goodbyes to fashion designer, Brunello Cucinelli’s, fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Cucinelli’s collection consists of mineral shades such as stone, grey and lava combined with winter whites and cashmere furs.

Being that I’m a fur aficionado, I was in awe when I noticed that every last one of his looks included a fur ensemble. If it wasn’t a fur coat then it was a sweater, vest or clutch which made the collection consistent. What made his collection unique was that he mastered a luxurious line by incorporating both casual and business attire.

Inspired by his fur outerwear, I recreated his look in my own way. I wore a burgundy leather skirt and matched it with a black long sleeve lace turtleneck. For shoes I went to my favorite booties of the season and paired it with a grey fringe bag. To top it all off I threw on a long-line wool-blend coat with notch lapels and a double-breasted pocket placket. The feature I love the most on the coat would have to be the fur sleeves.

Get My Look: 1. Leather skirt. 2. Fringe bag. 3. Fur coat.
