STYLE GURU STYLE: The Jogger Blogger

For this look, I was inspired by Sonia by Sonia Rykiel’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show. I loved how she paired jogger pants with different tops to create both dressy and casual looks. A pink button-down shirt with a chic black vest paired with pinstriped jogger pants creates more of a dressy-casual look—comfy, yet perfect for the office. She also paired a classic black jogger pant with a white sweater with black detailing for a great laid back look for a chilly Sunday morning brunch.

I decided to play around with patterns a bit like Rykiel did, as well. While she chose a crazy green banana print in some of her looks, I decided to stick to my classic floral print, adding just the right amount of class to my outfit. I chose to do a day to night option for my outfit as well. For daytime, I added an adorable green hat with a bow, and for nighttime, I threw on a classy black kimono with sequin trim to manage the chilled air.

Because jogger pants are still on the rise in the fashion cycle, you can find them almost anywhere. I am a curvy girl, and I found that rue21 had the best jogger/harem pants for me. I purchased the trendy green hat from PacSun, but those can be found almost anywhere as well. To top it off, I wore a great pair of black crochet wedges from Maurices to elongate my legs and torso, to only complement the joggers further.

Get My Look: 1. Floral jogger pants. 2. A trendy felt hat. 3. Black crochet wedges.
