The weather is warm, the sun is out and the summer style is in. I feel like I have prepped all year for the warmer days to finally hit Dayton, Ohio! Through my preparation and online shopping addiction I have stumbled upon the perfect sandal for this season: the Ghillie sandal.
I was all about summer vibes for my featured look. These sandals were my favorite purchase after seeing Chloé’s spring 2016 collection. The designs of this season’s favorites are simple, chic and classic. The lace-up sandal seen throughout the collection resonated with me and inspired me to go out and buy my own.
I accompanied my sandals with ripped denim jeans and a lightweight camisole. Chloé’s collection is very minimalistic, keeping focus on the fine details of clothing, so I decided to keep my accessories on the simple side. While my accessories are minimal, I made sure I did not leave the house without my go-to sunglasses.
If you want to go out with a bang this summer, try a lace-up sandal. Not all Ghillie sandals are heeled, but if you still want to add some height to your ensemble, I recommend a pair from Steve Madden. Coachella style is all around through the months of April and May. To obtain my look and put a Coachella spin on it, try a distressed denim short with a flat lace-up gladiator sandal. With all that and more, you will be the one bringing the heat this summer.
