STYLE GURU STYLE: Structurally Sound

Ah spring, the transition period. Where its not too hot, but yet not cold. This time of year everyone is shedding their long sleeve layers more a more light approach. Structured pieces, such as large swing skirts, have replaced more conventional bottoms. This trend has been all over the runway during the spring 2015 season. From designers such as Tibi to Etré Cecile, structured is in. No one does the structured vibe quite like Dsquared ² spring 2015 ready-to-wear. Pleated shorts combined with button down crop tops creates a crisp spring into summer feel.

I was drawn to this idea of structured pieces. As I am one who feels most comfortable is the baggiest T-shirt and leggings imaginable. While being in England I really wanted to push my personal boundaries, and what better way to do it in a country that houses London Fashion Week?

For this look I decided to bring this trend into my outfit by adding a cropped short-sleeved dress shirt, buttoned to the collar, to my usual ensemble of high-waisted jeans and platform booties. This high buttoned trend has been all the rage in the United Kingdom, as Fashionistas are looking for a statement piece with a new traditional vibe. I then paired this trend with a spiked chocker necklace to give my tribal print top a more punk vibe.

I am always been curious about playing with prints so for this look I decided to finish off this outfit with my snakeskin clutch to add some more catchy neutrals against my patterned shirt. I added my favorite Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Rossetto to exude my punk lifestyle.

Get My Look: 1. Cropped top. 2. High-waisted jeans. 3. Snakeskin clutch.
