STYLE GURU STYLE: Strings Attached

This spring season, this Style Guru has many strings attached and is going fringe crazy! There are two huge trends I am focusing on this fashion season and along with the fringe, it is the choker! Whether it is apart of a shirt or added in yourself, it is a trendy way to finish off a great outfit. This choker look was inspired by Angela Missoni’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear runway looks. In her bright colored and sporty inspired line, she added in many chokers and collars to finish off the looks and I was OBSESSED. It was the perfect way to accessorize without taking away from the outfit itself.

In my fringe and choker-inspired look, I also added in my favorite shoes right now, the adidas superstars. These are super cute and most importantly… super comfy. From the toes up, I am sporting some boyfriend jeans I found at a thrift store in Prague, Czech Republic. Although these were a hidden find, you can get your own at almost any retailer right now (or your boyfriend’s closet). Tucked into those jeans is a black bodysuit that is super versatile. In this look it is styled and hidden in a laid back manner, but I have worn this to the bars and club before too.

Drum roll please…now onto the two best pieces of my outfit! First, is this beautiful fringe jacket. I love this jacket because it is different and a step away from the moto-leather jacket we have all been rocking these past few months. It is risky and spices up any outfit! Next, is the black choker I made out of fabric from a local crafting store. Although this choker is not as detailed and unique as those in Missoni’s runway looks, it is still a staple piece in this look. To make this choker I simply cut the strip the size I wanted and tied it off in the back and just hid it under my jacket. Sure, there is a lot going on in this outfit, but it still pulls off a laid back look with a lot of edge to it. Any of these trendy pieces could be turned into a more dressed up look. And of course, no look is ever complete without a trendy pair of sunnies!

Get My Look: 1. Boyfriend jeans. 2. Fringe jacket. 3. A top with a choker.
