STYLE GURU STYLE: Street-Chic

In 2015, knee-high boots reached their peak. Every celebrity was seen with a pair of them on and I even own three different pairs. In Tom Ford’s fall 2015 collection, models were seen in fringe, denim, leather and patchwork and most of the models strutted down the runway with a pair of knee-high boots. I personally fell in love with his blue suede boots with leather grid pattern—I would kill for a pair.

I feel as if people think of knee-high boots as “night life” shoes, but it doesn’t always have to be that way. With my boots, they stop exactly at my knee so I wore thigh-high socks to make them appear longer. I love the way these boots make me feel. No matter what I wear them with, I feel sexy and confident.

You might be judging me for wearing a dress but it was in the high 50 degrees that day, which is warm for this time of the year, so I took the opportunity to show some skin. I feel that the dress made the outfit much more casual, contrasting the vibe of the shoes in this outfit. This dress is looser fitting so it’s very comfortable to wear.

I toped my outfit off with a black bomber jacket—another fashion trend that I have multiples of. This not only kept it casual, but it also gave the look a masculine edge. Although these jackets were originally for military pilots, they are now the go-to coat of Fashionistas everywhere.

Get My Look: 1. Bomber jacket. 2. Striped dress. 3. Knee-high boots.
