We are officially somewhere in-between spring and summer, which means temperatures are comfortably cool and preparation for summer is in full swing! It’s the perfect time to sit back, relax and read up on this season’s runway trends! Today, I’m talking about how Joie’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection is the epitome of timeless contemporary style. I’ll also be sharing with you my personal spin on one of the most covetable looks seen on the catwalk. Did I mention I’m obsessing over every piece of this collection?
As an avid lover of comfortable styling, I will never pass up an opportunity to discover new outfit inspiration from collections like Joie. That being said, this look is certainly one of my go-to outfits this time of year because it incorporates three major staples which can be found in my closet—flowy tops, denim shorts and leather belts. You can’t ever go wrong with white or denim (they’re both so classic!). When I go shopping, I’m always in search of pieces I know I’ll be able to style year-round, regardless of what season it is.
This white, lace-up tunic tucked into a pair of denim shorts makes for an easy outfit. It’s ideal for a casual evening, whether you’re meeting up with a friend for coffee or catching the sunset. I’m a huge fan of my brown Lucky Brand leather belt right now for two reasons: its beautiful detailing and it ties any casual look together. To finish off my look, I added a pop of color with a pair of Steve Madden burnt orange sandals.
