STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Has Sprung

Spring is officially here and I hope you are all as thrilled as I am. As temperatures rise and layers are shed, our world, and our wardrobes are about to get just a little more colorful.

I don’t know about you guys, but I could not be more ready to finally put away the sweaters and break out the shorts. Since the sun is finally out of hibernation, you’ll typically catch me running around in an outfit like this. I love pairing comfortable and basic pieces with trendier ones, and I always add accessories to spice it up.

One of my current obsessions are my white sneakers, and I plan on wearing them everyday this spring. They’re perfect to pair with shorts when running around campus or can be thrown on with a cute romper for dinner—and everything in between. In this outfit, I paired them with my favorite light wash jean shorts. These shorts are perfect for running around because they are extremely comfortable, and the distress adds a touch of edge to the outfit.

I love pairing contrasting styles together like I did in this outfit with the distressed shorts and preppier top, giving the outfit more of a chic style. I adore this top because it is lightweight, can be both dressed up or down, and styled multiple ways. In this look, I styled the top by tying the bottom in a knot. I also spiced things up by wearing a white bralette underneath, adding details to the look by having a little lace peep out. To tie everything together, I threw on accessories, and a lot of them. I love the look of layered necklaces so I paired a few of my favorites together to complete the look.

Now that the sun is here to stay, it’s time strut down our colorful runway in the latest trends and favorite warm weather clothes. Enjoy the sunshine, be adventurous and stay RAD.
