STYLE GURU STYLE: Spring Cleaning

Spring has quickly sprung here in Arizona and with the changing of the seasons, I’ve decided to go back to basics. After cleaning out and donating nearly my entire closet, I challenged myself to create new looks from simple pieces I’ve had for years. I was inspired by one of my favorite trends—monochrome. I love the clean, streamlined look of it, especially in white. It feels so refreshing and symbolizes the crisp air of spring. I found my inspiration in the Céline spring 2016 read-to-wear collection.

This collection was full of monochrome inspiration featuring neutral colors that all work well together. I love the idea of a neutral closet because it is so easy to mix and match different pieces, and it always looks classic. Céline shows are consistently modern and feature a bohemian touch, which is a tried-and-true look I always find myself wandering back to.

For my own look, I paired a simple white T-shirt with mid-rise cropped jeans. I have been seriously obsessed with these jeans. I bought them first in a light blue denim and then these immediately after! They are super lightweight, which is good for warm spring days. They also look great without being uncomfortably tight like most of my skinny jeans. I wore this outfit for a day of running errands and walking around, so I wanted to be comfortable too! To finish the look, I added Birkenstock-esque metallic sandals and my favorite bucket bag.

Get My Look: 1. Crisp white crop flares. 2. Metallic sandals. 3. Structured bucket bag.
