STYLE GURU STYLE: Something Old, Something New

While trying to cultivate and find inspiration for the perfect spring outfit, Chloé’s pre-fall runway looks came to mind. Chloé showcases airy, bohemian looks no matter the season. Their flattering silhouettes are easy to translate into everyday wear, especially on college campuses. This classic Chloé look is simple to put together for any Fashionista that wants to revamp their style.

I am all about an effortless, boho look for class, it’s never out of style. Mixing classic styles with newer, edgier trends is something I love. It gives new life to retro looks. You will often find me shopping at vintage stores or rummaging through my parents’ old clothes to recycle with my newer pieces. Experimenting is what it’s all about and that’s exactly what I did with this look.

As the semester comes to a close, many Fashionistas may be wanting to roll up into class in their pajamas with the stress of finals on their mind. Don’t let the increased amount of studying and caffeine intake affect your style. Rocking a Chloé-inspired boho look can be just as comfortable as those cotton shorts and baggy T-shirt that you wore to sleep last night. Feeling empowered by your style as you study can give you the confidence to ace those finals you’ve been cramming for!

For this look, I paired a blue Free People tunic with my mom’s vintage, 20-year-old, distressed jean shorts. To take this look to the next level, I added minimalistic rings and necklace paired with a chunky, gold Michael Kors watch. I enhanced this look by wearing tan Birkenstocks to achieve the ultimate level of comfort. Take this outfit to a campus, a city or a festival and you have an affordable ensemble that mimics Chloé’s aesthetic of the perfect laid back look.
